"My only outlet was through creativity and realizing how therapeutic it was,
I wanted to extend the same opportunity to others."
Dainna Crawley came across way too many that felt they didn't meet certain standards or wasn't good enough, and gave up on what they love to do, herself included.
"Because my only outlet was through creativity and realizing how therapeutic it was, I wanted to extend the same opportunity to others. I hope to be able to encourage them and give them a place to regularly express their gifts. And while I realize how delicate and dear personal expression can be, there is a great sense of purpose and self-worth attached to it. Just because the world turns their back to you doesn't mean God has; He has a reason for everything he has (and even hasn't) given us, and at the end of the day our gifts are the only thing that's really ours."
Why do you do what you do?
I do what I do because I have learned that it is not worth it to work hard only to end up unfulfilled and not be doing what you love. I hope to be able to help bring the fire back to those that have given up on their dreams and to me as well.
What inspired you to start your business?
It was really an awakening in me as I begin to seek God and the realer I got with him the realer he was to me. He showed me how I was sitting on my gifts because I did not believe them to be good enough... So my business for me is a declaration to God that I am not running anymore.
How did you start your business?
I started this business from savings I had put back into a certified deposit account and the generous donations of family, friends, and even strangers (which I will be forever grateful for!) I also tried to raise awareness to the cause through demonstrating a hint of my talent by doing quick sketches of my Facebook friends and posting them.
