I was at work today and as I finished with one I my customers I said, “Have a wonderful life!” My manager, who stood next to me with his customer, stated that I sounded like I would never see my customer again. This was not my intent, but in context, my customer knew exactly what I meant. She smiled, laughed, thanked me, and said, “You too!” The customer next to me proceeded to tell me that he thought this was a wonderful expression! He went on about how we should live every day to the fullest and how I should start saying that to everyone!
This got me to thinking, what are we doing with the 24 hours that we have been given each day? Are you living life to the fullest or are you just existing? For years, I simply existed. I was not living! That was one of my main reasons for starting this site. I had to stop wishing and actually do something about it! I know you’ve seen those commercials for Everest College: “You’re sitting on the couch, and your life is passing you by…” I know at one point or another, these words have described us. I know they have described me, but no more!
Currently, at church, we’re studying the life of Joseph and how he was just seventeen years old when he had his dream, but it was not until decades later that his dream came to pass. (Genesis 37-50) Don’t let those close to you, even your family; talk you out of your dream! Sometimes the difficult times we go through are just blessings in disguise. If Joseph’s brothers would’ve never thrown him in the ditch by the road, he would’ve never ended up at Pharaoh’s house, and he wouldn’t have been able to save his land from famine.
In conclusion, I want to pose this question to you. What are you doing with the dreams God has given you? Are you sitting on them or are you doing something every day to get you closer to your goal? It’s never too late to get started! Start today!
MAKE A WONDERFUL LIFE!!
"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,"
"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
